On-the-job Training

On The Job Training The Student Work Placement Program is implemented under the guidance of our Employment Development Coordinator and is a vital component of our graduates' success. Each and every one of Island Career Academy's full time diploma programs include a work-term with varying periods of time. This ensures that graduates receive valuable experience in a work environment relevant to their course of study.

All students who successfully complete the instruction/theory portion of their program receive a work term placement.

The success of our programs is largely due to a process that places students in an environment that is both suitable and compatible to the individual and his/her specific course of study. Much time and effort goes into ensuring that students and work term hosts receive maximum benefit from the work term experience.

The fact that many graduates have been successful in obtaining employment through their work term shows there is great support for this program, an essential component of each full time program.

The bottom line is Island Career Academy produces high quality graduates with career skills training that enhance their performance in the workforce.
